Group Storyboard- Miss Miller

As a whole group, we had a meeting regarding our group storyboard. We all looked at each others individual storyboard and discussed the best parts in which we would include within our final narrative. When discussing the storyboards, we decided to include a part of everyones individual ideas.

The first storyboard we looked at is Freddie Conway's. Freddie's scene seemed to be the most powerful and most realistic which is why we believe its the one that should be used. Within Freddie's opening scene there were many realistic and suspense building moments in which we believe that would create a thrilling clip. Because of this, we Incorporated many of Freddie's ideas in our group narrative. For example, we decided to set it within the kitchen of a house in which Freddie came up with. We believed that setting the scene in the kitchen would make the scene have a more realistic feel and therefore make it more tension rising. This is the main thing in which we have incorprated into our group narrative from Freddie's individual idea.

During our discussion we created an illustration for each frame in which we will want to be in our final clip. The layout of the storyboard allows us to see both the visualisation of what we are saying and then able to describe what we want to include. This shows as a group that we can have an idea then encorportate it fully. The storyboard is effective as is allows us to see how it will look on screen, we can then see if it fits the conventions of a thriller genre and we will also be able to see if it looks effective and fits our target audience.

From our storyboards, it enabled us to put our ideas down on paper and see if they would work and achieve what we want, then, if it didn't achieve the effect that we wanted, we would finalise our ideas as a group and use for planning. As a group, this storyboard will be able to be used a visual aid to base our whole opening scene one. Overall, the group narrative is much more effective than our individual ones as it allows us to know the final things that will be included in our opening scene and as well, we now have something to direct us when we go through our filming process.

  1. You need to have your pictures of your group storyboard uploaded and analyse each one explaining what you have taken from each group member's individual storyboard and why.
